First Day at Work

My conclusion is : Work is absolutely boring.

For the unenlightened, today was my first day at work! c",)

I want to say I met alot of interesting people, impressed my boss, finished my work on time and held an intellectual conversation with my colleagues. But sadly, that was not the case. Instead, I sat in at a totally boring meeting where I did not know what was being said half the time, did some data entry that the temp person was supposed to do, checked the temp's work, photocopied worksheets (I work in an enrichment centre, not tuition centre and I DO NOT teach!) and read the orientation manual which was full of rules and how to dress.

However, I'm not bitter about my day's experiences, because I did meet alot of people (whose names I cannot remember) and tomorrow is my off day! Harharhar...work one day then the next day rest!!! Harharhar...well...the system works like this. I work 4 weekdays and 1 weekend. So usually my off day would be a Monday. However, today was my first day, so I get tomorrow off. I get Saturdays off too, but I have to work on Sundays. But since I have worship practice once every 3 weeks, I get Sundays off then, but work on Saturday and go off early for service, but make up for it on another day. So, this company is really very welfare oriented. And I'm frankly happy about the weekday I get off! Heh...I can go shopping while avoiding the crowds and the swimming pool won't be so crowded so I can maintain the tan and the keep the upper arm flabs at bay! Wonderful! And the renumeration is above my expectations! So in keeping with being my usually optimistic self, I'm sure working life will improve (especially after I get my pay). Hee...anyway, I ended work at 9pm today. Have to work shift. But as I said, they're very welfare oriented people, so my schedule is such that I still can go for cell, go for service and go for worship practice without any disruption.

Work may not be as exciting as I would like it to be, but I'm quite happy. =]

Wow.. Thank God that you seem to have a good start and that your company is so welfare oriented. May you be the candle will shine in your office and draw people to Jesus, giving God all the glory.
